Update On Our House

Well, I have a lot of "before" pictures that I'm just dying to post...but I really want to wait until I have the "after" pictures so that I can post them at the same time. You really need to see the WHOLE picture of what we're doing to this place. Things are coming along great. David finished the tile in the kitchen (with the help of Mr. Robert Lathrop, David's brother Dennis and my brother David) and I think it looks fantastic! My sister April has about 90% of the walls painted, the floors are sealed and ready for carpet and hard woods. We thought the carpet would be going in today, but the padding hasn't arrived at the store yet so it'll most likely be going in tomorrow. David and I are going tonight to get the hard woods so that he and my dad can start installing them on Saturday. Other than that, just cleaning the fridge, bathrooms, and wiping down cabinets (and other cleaning) is really all that's left to do. We'll hopefully start moving things in on MONDAY!! (oh please let it be Monday!)

Actually, that's just the INSIDE of the house. The entire outside was overgrown...the grass, the bushes and flowers, the trees and THE WEEDS! There were weeds taller than David! But, with the much appreciated help of Scott, Allison and Zach, we tackled that front yard and about 1/3 of the backyard. Then my other brother-in-law Jim came over and finished the backyard. There's still lots to work with...stumps that need taken out, grass that needs alot of TLC and the flowers...Let's just say we're not counting on much to happen until next spring, or even the year after that.

Anyway, things are movin' along and we can't thank everyone enough! Whether it was helping at the house or watching G$ so that I could go help myself. Pictures will soon be posted!!
