Our second car has quit working (we think it's the battery) so David has been taking the Jeep to work every day. Yesterday, I needed to get some errands done so I packed up the kids and took him to work in the morning. As we were going to pick him up from work at the end of the day, I was going to switch lanes so I could make my turn. I put my blinker on and everything. The woman in the other lane was just far enough beside me, but behind me (if that makes sense) to where I couldn't move over and the car in front of her was just far enough to where I couldn't speed up and squeeze in. There just wasn't any room. I tried to speed up so that she could see that I had my blinker on and needed to get over, but she was obviously in her own little world. Needless to say, I missed my turn. As we were driving past it, I very loudly said to myself, "AH! STUPID LADY!!" Gabriel asked "oh, stupid lady?" and I said back to him, "no, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that." and then changed the subject. When we got closer to his work, we came to a 4-way stop. When I thought it was my turn to go, I did. But it wasn't my turn. The car to the left of me that I didn't see, went also. We didn't hit, but it was close. When that happened, again, I said to myself out loud "holy cow! that could have been bad!" The next thing I know I hear, "that lady stupid? she stupid mom?" I then explained that she was not stupid and that we don't say that word (anymore). :) I really need to watch my mouth around Gabriel. Especially when I drive!!

LOL, I have been there.
Now if I slip and say stupid, Rubio yells at me "Mom that is a bad word"
What I think is really funny is that some of the things I used to say in frustration are now repeated by my grandchildren. It's amazing how they hear so many of the things they shouldn't and not very many of the things I think they should.
That's great! At least you didn't use a horrible swear word! ha-ha!!
Oh, but I did!
haha! :) Isn't crazy how kids are like sponges! It's amazes me how they pick up everything! haha. :) still a good story!
if it makes you feel any better one of my nephews called his swimming teacher the "B" word - and so the swimming teacher took him out of the pool. my sister-in law Emily went to see what happen and the teacher told Emily what he said, and she acted all shocked and said my son wouldn't know that word. Mmmm, right. Pretty sure that was denial on her part. Tyson's family has potty mouths. haha. So the word "stupid" doesn't sound so bad. :) haha.
But your an amazing mom, and at least you said we don't say that word anymore. :) go you!!
LOL!!! That is so funny! Kylie has done the same thing. Too cute!
