A Night To Remember

Angelina has been sick for the past week; diarrhea, fever, runny nose, a little bit of throwing up. . .you name it, she's been dealing with it. The past couple of days she has seemed to be feeling better. So last night we headed out to my nieces dance recital. Rachael, you looked so cute and you did GREAT!

The night started out great. All the little girls were so cute dancing in their costumes. My kids were even sitting still and watching. Then, during the intermission, things took a turn for the worse. My husband, being the proper person that he is, tells a joke (a dirty joke) to my sister and the other parents give him weird looks. After he realized too late that that was not the time or place to be telling jokes, Gabriel tells us that he has to go to the bathroom. We ask my sister Allison if there is a bathroom to use and she tells us no. It says on the invitation to make sure you 'go' before the recital. (This was in the basement of the dance instructors house) So David takes Gabriel outside and has him 'go' in her backyard. They come in and sit near the door, making sure not to interrupt the recital since it has started again, when about 5 minutes later, Angelina throws up all over. All over me, all over her, a little on G$ (he had run over to sit by us again), a little on the floor and a little bit on the couch we were sitting on. I looked at Allison and said, Um, we're going to leave now. So we did. David was DYING laughing on the way home. I felt bad that we had to dart out of there, but I wanted to leave before anything else went wrong. David, Gabriel, and Angelina all seemed to leave their marks, I didn't want to do the same!
