Introducing Miss Angelina Linette Dias!
(she looks just like Gabriel did!!!)
We chose the name Angelina because of the meaning. "Little Angel" We already had one angel, Gabriel, and now we have two. If we have another kid, we'll have to think of another angel name to keep it going. :) The name Linette is my middle name and I wanted her to have it too.
OK! So for those of you who participated in the poll, the ones who guessed GIRL were right! We were so excited to find out that it was girl. She is WONDERFUL! So mellow, so easy to please, and just so snuggly. We checked into the hospital about 5:30 early Wednesday morning (1/21) and went into the O.R. about 7:30. It was pretty much the same thing as David wrote in his last post about when we went in to have Gabriel. Only this time, when he peaked over the sheet, he was happy to announce to me that it was a girl, rather than boy. Yes, I cried. :) And you should see David. He is so in love with his little angel. You can tell that she already has him wrapped around her tiny little finger!
The morning of. I was HUGE!
Getting all prepped for the big 'to do'.
During surgery. (we have some pretty cool pictures of the surgery, but I won't post any in case some people get queasy with stuff like that.) I was fully awake and numb from the breast line down. And as soon as they took Angelina out, I wanted to fall asleep. I don't know if some kind of hormone is released causing me to get drowsy, but man, I wanted to pass out! I got so tired all of a sudden.
The PROUD daddy! Don't you love his suit?
The very proud grandmas.

Our first family picture with all of us. Gabriel LOVES his baby sister. I was so afraid that he would get jealous and throw tantrums, hit her, or something. But he's completely opposite. He smothers her with love and tons of kisses. He helps with changing her diaper and doing anything I need him to do when it comes to taking care of her. He is a very sweet big brother!

Some fun pictures...

She has been so easy. She'll sleep all night if I'd let her. She doesn't wake up to eat! I guess it's nice in a way...David can sleep all night and get up and go to work fully rested. She doesn't fuss for anything. We are so blessed and happy to have her and are especially happy that her big brother is such a GOOD big brother.
