This last weekend my mom and I took my kids, Rachael, and Kylie to OMSI. (Oregon Museum of Science & Industry)
This is Samson. He is one of the three most complete Tyrannosaurus rex specimens in existence. He was discovered in South Dakota in 1987 and has more than 50% of his skeletal bones remaining. Samson has the most intact skull in existence, too. Most other specimens were discovered with their skulls crushed over geologic time.
This is his real skull and teeth. The one hanging is a replica because his real one, in the display case, was so large and heavy.
Gabriel L.O.V.E.D seeing Dinosaur bones! But after about 10 min, he and the rest of the kids thought it'd be more fun to actually play. So we headed to the "Science Playground".
While the bigger kids were off exploring the different areas of the science playground, Angelina played in the infant area. She was with my mom while I was chasing the other kids around. Apparently she was in the ball pit the whole time! It had to have been a good hour.
It was a fun day and the kids had a blast. My mom and I were SO DONE at the end. We got there about 9:30 and didn't leave until about 1:30. It was a long, yet very fun, day.
